Smoker advise
You have recently acquired a new Chacom pipe. Thanks to the unique procedure of natural drying, your pipe can be smoked straight away ; under no circumstances should the pipe be seasoned with alcohol or another product, smoke it slowly, without heating it up, leave it to settle and soon your pipe will be to your taste.
Always use a pipe when cold, the ideal being to smoke a pipe once a day with the same tobacco in order to obtain the best flavour.
Select tobacco which is neither too dry, nor too humid. Fill the bowl with successive pinches of tobacco, pressing the first layer down lightly and the upper layers firmly.
Light your pipe, preferably with a match over the whole surface of the tobacco. Smoke your pipe slowly in order to obtain a gentle smoke without heating the pipe. If the pipe does overheat, leave it to cool; you can relight it as long as it hasn't cooled down. Always smoke your pipe right to the bottom of the bowl. An average pipe lasts approximately 40 minutes. As soon as the pipe is finished, the ashes and remainder of the tobaccos should be emptied. Never tap your pipe against a hard object, leave it to cool upside down.
A clean pipe always smells good and therefore it should be looked after each time its used. Withdraw the stem by turning it clockwise, clean the shaft and the stem with the absorbent wick.
Keep your pipe on a rack or in its original cover.
With regular care, your pipe will be your best companion for savouring your favourite tobacco.
